Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics

Their Vision

The Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics address some of the most difficult issues of our time: providing primary medical and dental care to those who need it, regardless of their ability to pay. In a respectful environment where everyone is treated with dignity, the Clinics serve one out of every ten people in the region from eight neighborhood locations. But the demand for services goes far beyond what the Clinics can address and an investment in the organization is needed to move into a healthy future. Living the mission means that providing care for everyone will always leave a funding gap.

Our Strategy

Netzel Grigsby Associates served as campaign counsel launching a $20 million campaign to ensure current facilities support high-quality health care, address the anticipated funding gaps and to build a new Westside Clinic to expand services. With a clearly defined case for support, past supporters were invited to reconnect with the Clinics to learn of the Healthy People Healthy Communities campaign and the significant impact it will have on the community. New potential donors unfamiliar with the value the Clinics bring to the community were invited for tours, events and lunches to learn more. The combined efforts of volunteers, staff and counsel moved this ambitious campaign forward.

Success Together

By telling the story in meaningful ways and connecting volunteers, staff and patients with potential donors, the campaign has raised 80% of the $20 million goal. The campaign is succeeding due to dedicated volunteers, staff who are taking the time necessary to engage donors and clear guidance from Netzel Grigsby Associates.
