Lucy Berbeo, Associate, Strategic Communications and Research

As associate, strategic communications and research at Netzel Grigsby Associates, Lucy helps nonprofits bring their visions to life through authentic storytelling and data-informed best practices.

An experienced communications professional dedicated to mission-focused work, Lucy takes pride in producing well-researched, thoughtfully executed materials that drive tangible results. She enjoys finding and amplifying the compelling story behind each nonprofit initiative, and she thrives on collaborative teams united by a shared commitment to creating positive social change.

Prior to joining NGA, Lucy served as a development writer at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), supporting fundraising efforts across the liberal arts and sciences. In addition to crafting gift proposals and other collateral, she produced original content for UCLA’s institutional publications and social media channels, championing the university’s diverse people and programs.

Lucy earned a bachelor’s degree in English at UCLA, graduating cum laude with a concentration in world literature and a minor in Latin American studies. She holds a certificate in copyediting from the UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies and a certificate in creative writing from UCLA Extension.
