Yvette Herrera, Vice President
Yvette Herrera is a vice president with Netzel Grigsby Associates who helps nonprofit organizations strengthen relationships with volunteers and donors to increase fundraising results. Yvette believes that by offering accessible yet inspirational opportunities to support their mission, nonprofits can give more people a chance to make a significant difference.
With NGA, Yvette develops and implements annual and capital campaign strategies, manages strategic planning and board development processes, and recruits, motivates and trains volunteer committees. Recent projects include capital campaigns for Special Olympics Southern California ($10 million), Villa Esperanza Services ($11.5 million), Mirman School ($12.5 million), and Bel Air Church ($14 million). As interim staff for the LA Regional Food Bank and Human Options, Yvette coordinated successful special events and developed year-end communication and solicitation strategies.
Prior to joining NGA, Yvette served as director of philanthropy and community engagement for the Burbank Community YMCA and as director of planning at the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. Yvette is a board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and serves on the Alumnae Leadership Council of Scripps College.
In 2010, Yvette was recognized as 29th Congressional District Woman of the Year. She has co-chaired Asian Pacific Heritage Month for the City of Los Angeles and is a graduate and past board president of Leadership California. She is also active at her church and past president of Family Promise of the Verdugos.
Yvette holds a Bachelor of Arts from Scripps College and earned a certificate from the UCLA Anderson School of Business, Price Entrepreneurial Center.
