As senior counsel with NETZEL GRIGSBY ASSOCIATES, INC., Ed brings nonprofit management and fundraising experience in the education, youth social services, arts and healthcare sectors. His expertise includes developing and implementing annual and major gift strategies and corporate sponsorship programs, management of strategic planning and board development processes, volunteer and staff training, feasibility studies, and developing effective communication strategies, including though social media.

Prior to joining the firm, Ed was Director of Major Gifts at the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation where he developed the major and corporate gifts programs and helped to advance annual fundraising from $400,000 to $3.2 million in the first year, tripling membership in the organizationís major gift society. He was previously executive director of the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Childrenís Cancer in Santa Clarita, as well as chief fundraiser for Harmony Project in Hollywood and A Place Called Home in South Los Angeles.

Edís position in nonprofit management and development follows a 15-year career as a healthcare litigator and business attorney.

Ed is an active volunteer, currently serving as board chair of Summit Preparatory Charter School in South Los Angeles. He supports various schools and organizations in the Los Angeles area.

Ed is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Los Angeles Chapter, and the California Bar Association. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California Los Angeles, and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School.
